Who wins for master browser

I've got 7 cpu's all running xp pro, service pack 1. LAN
is running in workgroup mode. Who (and more
importantly ....HOW)...wins the master browser role?
 
The XP box that has has been up the longest (since a reboot) should win the
master browser election. You can control this by using the
"MaintainServerList" (set to "No") and the "IsDomainMaster" (set to false)
reg keys to prevent specific XP boxes from becoming the master browser.
