Who is accessing files?

Hi,
Is there any way to find out who is accessing a particular
folder either built-in method in win2k or using scripts?
For example, i would like to know who is accessing a
folder or file when i get "sharing violation" errors..
Any ideas?

Yes you need to audit for read, write, delete the folder.
only if is on NTFS partition using a GPO and after setting
the audit option (Tab)in folder's security. then you can
find the result in security log in the "event viewer". You
can audit the entire domain or only the local machine.

Re: "question has been answered before", I was unable to find anything on this topic in any of the forums. I must be using lousy search keys. Any suggestions?
