If the kids were allowed to vote we might end up with Miss Piggy or the Big Bird in the chair :)

i havn't really paid much attention to all there manefestos and that i just hear on the news in the morning ((my alarm clock) radio 1) that tony blair is in trouble about the WHOLE iraq thing....

and i suppose it doesn't help when one of his soldiers has just recently died in the weekend

Maybe that will be a big factor in the poll in like 2 DAYS time! :O

Uh, yes....

Believe me, I'm biting my lip and trying to respond to the the proletariat in a manner they will understand.

In fact, I'm acting just like a politician :D

I despair, I really do...

Yep, Iraq is definitely going to be a big issue. It seems that most of the population are/were against it, and those who were in favour don't really want to say so publicly. It's a shame that we can't have a pure democracy - where we feel like the politicians are representing us rather than in charge of us. Still, I suppose we don't have things bad on the whole scale of things - shouldn't really complain! :)

At the time I'm posting this (just after midnight - so it's just become 4th May) the Lib dems are well ahead in our own little poll, after 14 votes. Obviously, that's nowhere near enough to provide a statistically reliable sample, but just imagine if our poll was reflected in the actual election and we had a Lib Dem government!!

Llabour are trying to convince Lib dem voters to vote labour in order to avoid a Tory Govt.

I say: Vote for who you want to govern, and ignore the bull****. Labour's tactics simply reinforce the view that they don't talk straight under Blair. why doesn't he just sa: 'this is who we are and this is what we stand for...vote for us' instead of saying (as he is now): 'Any vote for the Lib Dems is a vote for the Tories'.

It does not matter whom you vote for as this applies to all politicians!
They are all related to a banana why you may ask!
Well when they are young they are all green, after they mature a while they then turn yellow, and not one of them are straight?

Since KGB911 wanted to know, besides, many here already know I hail from The Indus Valley. My apologies if you thought otherwise. I hope the disclosure will not be a hinderance in any way, will it? ;)

I voted 8am this morning. Lib Dem.

My daughter's first time voting as well. And guess what? Lib Dem. Ha ha :D

Today is the first time in my life I've ever voted anything but Labour. It felt odd.

Most people I know are voting Lib Dem - both those who would have normally voted Labour and those who would have voted Conservative

Results are in! And yes, we beat Sunderland South ;)

Here are the seats according to the BBC seat calculator;

Labour - 59
Conservatives - 0
Liberal Democrats - 556
Other - 31

Looks like the Lib Dems win! :D
