I have an independantly-built Pentium 4 1.6 Northwood on
an Intel 850MV motherboard with 512M RDRAM and an Asylum
(made by BFGtech) GeForce 4 Ti 4200 with 128 MB of
DDRAM. When I try to play graphics-intense games such as
Nascar Thunder 2003, Rise of Nations, or Tiger Woods
2004, the game starts to load fine, but then turns to a
mostly white screen with only a few colors. The cursor
can be seen as a large box. After a few seconds, the
system locks up and requires a hard reset. I have
flashed the system BIOS, updated the nVidia drivers to
version 45.23, which supports Direct X 9.0. I have
DirectX 9.0b. I am running Windows XP Professional (5.1,
Build 2600). I have tried changing all of the drivers
and DirectX properties to no avail. Does anyone have any
other suggestions?
