I have tried several different ways to restore back to a previous point with
no luck. The restore screed comes up totally white. I uninstalled a trial
version of Kaspersky the other day and have been having issues ever since.
Any suggestions?

Did you exit Kaspersky before you uninstalled it? What method did you
use to uninstall it? Which particular version?

What other security programs are you running that might interere with
System Restore (assuming you're referring to System Restore)? The
following programs can interfere with it: Norton, McAfee, and Zone
Alarm.

Is your PC free of malware?

Once you are free from malware, you can address the issue of an empty
display where the System Restore calendar should be. You need to be
as malware free as practical, then fix SR if it is still broken.

It is a fairly common issue - malware doesn't want you to restore.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware
detection programs:

Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

These can be uninstalled later if desired.

SR is certainly broken and needs fixing, but why are you wanting to do
a System Restore?
