Thank You Noone for your response although I was afraid
that would be the answer.I need your opinion on my
situation. Here goes ::: This HP computer was given to me
as a gift, brand new boxed up , ect. The friend that
bought it for me, (now living with me ) says he's got a 2
year warranty on the system when he bought it at Staples.
The sad thing is :::: after almost 2 years of me having
it, and wondering why it was so messed up with accepting
updates ...ect...and doing a system recovery at one time
according to the manual ( as the system did not come with
the CD ) I don't know what to do ??? My friend saw how
upset I was and bought me another Windows XP in the box.
I have opened it , but did not put it on this machine
because of lack of experience lol..(really not funny, but
true for me, as I am just learning all this stuff) and
also I thought I messed things up, so I've been studying
lots of newsgroups to fix anything I did wrong. I can
tell you a few mess ups I've done quite well on my
own...I locked myself out of my computer one time...I
panicked from the user net machine puts on it and made
that person the administrator and myself a guest...lol..I
can laugh now, but it wasn't funny then. I've also had a
cleaning program on this, and boy did I clean...Oh My !!!
Anyway, I will get to the point...My friend is going to
look for the warranty and if it's still good, what would
you do ???
