Which USB port do I use and can I switch?

I just installed my printer after restoring my system. Now the "Safely Remove
Hardware" icon is in my system tray. It wasn't there before I restored the
system unless I had something plugged in obviously. Did I plug my printer
into the wrong USB port? If I did, how do I move it? Additionally, I now have
new "Removeable Disk" drive in my drive locations and nothing is plugged in.
I want to remove that so I don't get confused when I DO have a removeable
drive/device plugged in.

Should I just remove the device? The printer is listed under printers.

Thank you.

Does your printer have a card reader option?

There is no 'wrong' usb port (on the PC)
Showing safely remove icon is correct if you have any usb devices, allthough
a printer is not detected usually by the utility.
A removable drive could be a sata internal drive or card reader
What does it indicate when you open safely remove?
