Which offers more overall performance?

AMD Athlon-64 3800+ - 512k L2
AMD Athlon-64 3700+ - 1m L2

AMD has already answered that question - they've given a 3700 rating to one
and a 3800 rating to the other.

Which doesn't mean squat sometimes. Some cores of lower ratings outrun other
cores of higher ratings all the time in CPU comparisons.

Personally, I'd bank on the higher cache.
