Which OS?

Hi,

For Hardcore Graphical Games which OS gives better output
Windows 2000 or Windows 98?

Thanks.

Vikram.

That would depend more on your hardware... the OS shouldn't really matter.

However, 2000 is more likely to be compatible with newer games (and newer
versions of DirectX.)

I've always run games on either 98SE or XP. I haven't run
much gaming on Windows 2000 but it should do pretty well -
and at least if your game crashes it won't take your whole
system with it.

There's no good answer. My OS is a Windows 2000 Prof. Win 98 was the System
before. When you need a stable OS with good Graphics then take Win 2000.
Otherwise for older games you should install Win 98.
But some newer games don't run on Win98...
