Sorry, I've only just seen this post. At the moment, only mods/admins can make a poll in this particular section... but that's only because it's a left-over from when we had the latest poll automatically appearing on the sidebar.
Feel free to make a new poll thread in any other section and it will work just fine
.Perhaps it's better if this dedicated polls section is merged somewhere else, as it's not really needed now that it doesn't appear on the sidebar?
