Which LCD monitor? (2 choices)

Monitor A:
-8ms response time
-280 cd/m2
-400:1 contrast ratio
-$10 cheaper

Monitor B:
-12ms response time
-250 cd/m2
-500:1 contrast ratio

Both of these are Acer monitors and they've gotten good reviews on Newegg.

I guess the real question is the 8ms response time more important than the
500:1 contrast ratio?

Thanks.

One is slightly brighter but has a lower contrast ratio so the blacks
aren't as black.

As quoted response times are nothing but marketing bullshit, you can
ignore those.

Hmm. If you don't like your monitor brightness set so high it is
burning your eyeballs out, go for B.

Depends on what you are doing with the monitor. If games, or TV, or DVD
movies, you need the 8ms at least. I prefer the 4ms Viewsonic. The 12ms
will show tearing and lines across the screen during movement of the
image.
