If you are looking for just one to replace many it doesn't really pay. My
own opinion is that there is no one that will do thay. There are several
that are good and each one catches things that others don't. I recommend
the following-----Spybot S&D, Ewido,PCcillin 2006, AdAware and last but not
least MSAS. If you schedule them to run scans at a time that you are not
using your PC usually after 2400 you can use any or all of them,

That is what I do: MSAS, Spybot 1.4 (with Tea Timer), SpySweeper 4, and NAV
2005 (soon to be replaced) all run separate scans in the wee hours of each
day. HostsMan, BHO Demon and NPF 2005 (also soon to be replaced) and Tea
Timer are resident in the System Tray. Paranoia on the Web pays. No
conflicts have been noted in the months that I have been doing the Wee Hour
Scans (WHS).
Most hard drives can be defragmented in less time than it
takes to sufficiently scan for spyware. The "wee hours"
of most production hard drives are already consumed with
other business including virus et.al. elimination,
defrag, data sync... the list grows.
I have used all of the below and have found that MSAS
catch's a lot more than most others. It is capable of
removing some that NAV 2005 was not able to completely
remove. However, like the other replies state, it is
benificial to use multiple spyware programs to insure
that all spyware is being detected and eliminated.
