Which is better? ICH8R or JMB363?

Hi all!

I have an ABIT AB9 Pro motherboard, which has ICH8R & JMB363 on board,
both of which can provide RAID1.

Now I wonder where to connect my 2 drives...? Which option gives the
best performance?

ABIT support replied with the following:

for RAID1: ICH8R
for single drive: Silicon Image 3132
