I do not care how much space it takes up I am just wondering which one
out of these audio encodings (aiff, apple lossess, wav, mp3, or acc )
will maintain the original quality or better of the cd? what I am using
right now is aiff.

Native digital audio is .wav, but the files will be huge!

..wav gives an exact copy, but takes ~600MB per CD

..mp3 is capable of a wide range of quality/size tradeoffs, and is the most
widely-used standard. 256kbps or higher variable-bitrate MP3 is very near to
CD quality, and gives you reasonably small files.

for perfect-copies, flac is also worth considering, it compresses by about
50%.

Not sure about the others.
