Which folder outlook exp. save messages to?

I have lost outlook express and IE is not working. I have
to reinstall windows. Before I do that I would like to
retrieve my emails. Where is the "Outlook Express personal
folders" folder in the system?

It varies from system to system. In OE go to Tools | Options | Maintenance
and it will tell you where it's keeping its message files.
