which copy of winXP did I installed on this PC?

I have 2 copies of winXP installed on 2 PCs.

I want to clean reinstall one of them. But I can't tell which copy (or which copy's
product key) was used with this PC. If I pick the wrong one, activation won't work and I'd
have to start over with the other product key.

There has to be a better way than guessing.

I only have 2 PCs. Imagine having <n> copies of winXP and <n> PCs all mixed up...

That's very useful! Unfortunately, I was impatient and have already clean installed and
picked the wrong CD key. Now I have the same CD key installed on two PCs. But why didn't
it complain during activation? Is microsoft going to call the police on me?

Sigh. Is there a way to change the CD key to the other one without re-installing again?
