Hi out there.
I am considering buying an a3 flatbed scanner, and I have found two scanners
in the price range I am able to afford.
1. the Mustek p 3600 a3 pro
2. Epson gt-15000
I know about the epson, but the mustek is cheaper an has better specs. But
is the mustek any good, does it function weell how fast is it in scaning
documetns?
I have never heard of mustek here in Denmark so hope some of you can help
me?
Best regards, Jesper.

Mustek is a name change from a long time scanner manufacturer. Their
previous name was Marstek.

I have a old hand held gray scale scanner that was made by Mustek just after
the name change. It has a sticker with both names. Date is 1991 on the hand
held.

Hi.
I need the scanner for scanning books and therefore I don't need very highg
resolution in order to perform a good OCR. However, speed is a cconcern, and
I would like to know if there happens to be any body around here, who knows
how fast it would scan an a3 area in not a color scan, and lets say in
300-400 dpi.
would the scanning glas surface be able to support books, without risking
damaging the surface, from too much pressure from the book?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
Jesper.

Hi again.
I failed to ask if there is a review of the mustek p 3600 scanner around, I
seem not to be able to find any using the search engines. So please help.
Jesper.
