Hi guys I'm looking to upgrade my hard drives.

Potentially want to replace 3 X 500gb drives with 2 X 2TB drives

I've seen these samsung F4 2TB drives they have 3 platters of 667GB compared to the F3 version that have 4 X 250GB platter I'm going to be using the drives for storage

will 3 platter be better than 4?
which one should I go for?

I'll 3rd that ;). If it's just for storage, go for the cheapest of those 2 options - there's no point paying any more for performance in this case and the reliability will be almost identical.

I've got a pair of Samsung drives and I'm pleased with them both :thumb: .
