Where's "security" tab?

Paul

I'm trying to check some security (activex component)
settings, so I'm told to go to IE, then "Tools",
then "Internet Options", then "Security" tab. Where is
it?? I only have 5 tabs: General, Privacy, Content,
Connections, and Programs. Thanks.

Hi Paul,

Remove IE Restrictions & Restore Missing tabs. Download a fix from:
http://www.angelfire.com/dragon/sramesh2k/reg/IE_reset_restrictions.reg

The problem may be due to:

1. A spyware. Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system
and eliminate the malware products. Re-apply the above fix if necessary.
** Remember to update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware **

( Caused by a malware called CoolWebSearch. Also, Download:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip )

2. You have enabled SpyBot immunize (protection) feature or any other
similar software.

Hi Rameesh,

Don't think I did this right. I THINK I downloaded the fix
from angelfire, but when I tried to run or open it, I keep
getting a message saying that I cannot import ----. I also
ran the Ad-aware which found 96 suspicious files. Anyway,
after all was done and then rebooted, my "security" tab is
still hidden. Did I download the fix incorrectly? Paul

Paul, I'm unsure about the OS you are using.

Try this:
Delete the entry "SecurityTab" from registry:
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/797/
