Disabling Java

I have IE version 6.0, however when i attempt to disable
java on a web page I'm lost. Most instructions tell me to
go to internet options (under tools) however, there is no
security tab allowing me to disable java. The only tabs i
have are as follows "General, Privacy, Content,
Connections, Programs". What do I do?
