Where's original desktop wallpapers

I have been using pix from My Documents for my desktop wallpaper. Now can't
find the original images that came with XP. Where are the stored?

Hi,

The default wallpapers in Windows XP are stored at: C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper
(if Windows is installed on C: drive).

Hi,

No, you do not need to convert them to .BMP (bitmaps) to use them. You can
set image files in other formats (eg. JPEG) as desktop background.

How? If I try to open a jpg thru desktop properties it just ignores it.
