Where to look for resources

I need to find information about using Access DB to track time and
attendance data. I know there are many 3rd party packages out there but I
want to learn how things work and attempt tp develop it myself for my
company.

Any idears on where to begin?

You might also check the Microsoft Templates. I believe they have
a Time and Billing one.
