Hi there,

I'm currently trying to find a way to automatically retrieve the names
of installed VPN-Connections.

I do find a GUID for a VPN in the registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces,
but I can't find the corresponding name for it anywhere in the registry
(for example under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\--GUID--\Name
)

I also tried searching manually through the registry to find the given
VPN name, but with no luck.
Maybe it's encrypted or not even saved in the registry?

Does anybody know how to solve that?

Thanks in advance,
Holger

Hi,

after some more extensive research I found it myself:
Its stored in the following textfile:
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk\rasphone.pbk"

Thanks to all who tried to help.
