Hey,
See subj. I don't seem able to find the location where GTA San Andreas is
putting it's savegames in
Windows Vista Beta 2. Some of the Documents folders is protected so i cannot
access them eventhough i'm Administrator.

It's in the same folder as in win xp...i.e. Documents. Click start then
documents in the upper right part.

Well, the problem is i cannot access some of the Documents folders, cause
they are protected. And i cannot seem to unprotect them.

I don't get any error-messages; and now i noticed that all Document folder's
Windows Vista Beta 2 doesn't have any savegames for GTA San Andreas,
eventhough i could save a game in and reload it. Maybe it's due to the fact
that i installed Windows Vista Beta 2 on my l:-drive on my computer. It's on
the same drive that Windows XP is installed (C:\-drive), and i'm simply
running GTA San Andreas from that drive in Windows Vista Beta 2 without
problems. Could it be that the savegames is on the c:\-drive? The games that
i save in Windows XP is not touched..Hope this is understandable!

Try looking in your documents folder if its not there try search the
harddrive for a

GTASAst1.b file (should be the name on the first savefile so be sure you
have saved in slot 1)

Control panel...user account....Change security settings.....remove the check
box for UAC....i don't have to give permission now, i can do pretty much what
i want. Be carefull though don't click ok on anything before you are sure
what you're doing. I'm learning as i go along too.

The documents folder in Vista, is that the User folder? Because i cannot
find any Documents folder in
Vista, and i have tried searching in that folder (User and sub-folders).

Unfortunately that directory isn't there, probably due to the fact that
didn't install GTA SA in Windows Vista,
but in Windows XP, evenso i could play the game and save the game and reload
it. Still i cannot find the directory
where the savegame files is kept!
