Hi everybody,
I've got a frustrating problem. I'm running an XP MCE 2005 machine
from dell. 160GB Hard drive, 3GB ram. Very smooth. I installed
Flyakite 3 on the machine. works great. and I installed RK Launcher.
which also worked great. Which means the animations are very quick and
smooth -- i click on an icon on the RK bar and it immediately starts
bouncing and brings up the program. However, every now and then if i
install or uninstall a program or two, or even seemingly without
changing anything, the RK animation and program launch will hiccup.
meaning if i click on the icon on the RK bar it will become frozen for
about 1.5 seconds before bouncing and launching the program. I know
this seems nitpicky but it's a frustrating change after it's been
working so well. And with 3gb RAM that is nowhere near being used up
when this happens, I cannot for the life of me figure out what is
causing this delay. I reboot the machine and the delay still happens.
everything else seems to work properly. The only way I've been able to
fix it each time this happens is to do a system restore to earlier in
the day or week. I've tried other docks when this delay is occurring
with RK and get the same result. Short delay. I can't seem to find
any rhyme or reason to this. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
