Where is this visual setting?

On my new XP Pro PC, when I drag a large set of files from one folder
to another (to move or copy), the set is 'faded' around its edges.
Can't seem to find anything relevant in System Properties > Advanced >
Settings> Visual Effects. I thought it would be 'Show translucent
selection rectangle', but after unchecking that I still have the
effect.
