Where is the VBA Project File (Outlook 2000)?

B

Beth

I've been using Outlook 2000 for some time on a PC running Win 98. I
kept a copy of the project file as a backup.

I've now switched to Win XP, still running Outlook 2000 SR-1. I quite
happily copied over the file into Documents and
Settings\(user)\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\VBAProject.OTM and
it works perfectly.

But if I change the macros, this file doesn't show any change in date
modified, even if I quit Outlook and confirm the save.

Is this the correct location? I would hate to think I'm busy backing
up the wrong file.

Everything is working perfectly, I just want to know where it is so
that I can keep a backup.

it's at C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook. Modified Date should update after you close outlook.
Try searching for all *.OTM files using the advanced option of including
hidden files and folders. I don't think you'll find others, but it's worth
checking to be sure.

The file's there, and it's the only .OTM file on my PC. But it doesn't
show a change in the modified date even after rebooting.
