Thanks. I'm trying to figure out how the Smallest, Smaller, Medium, Larger,
Largest setting on the View menu work.

I can find only the Windows XP setting in Display Properties > Appearance >
Font size, which only lets me choose Normal, Large Fonts, and Extra Large
Fonts.

After some experimentation, I've concluded that "Smaller" on the View > Text
Size menu is whatever is specified in the HTML or the style sheet for a
page. But I'm not positive. And when a style sheet says "font-size: 100%,"
what is it 100% *of*? The default font? That's the setting I want to find.
What is the default font? Display Properties says its "Normal" because I
chose that, but what is the measurement? Is it 10 points, 12 points, 9,641
points???????

Confuzzled in Cambridge,

not sure what you want, but you could increse screen res.
to get smaller i guess.

Everything is in terms of "smaller" or "larger." Smaller than what? Larger
than what? The only place a font size is available for the computer as a
whole is in the Display Properties dialog box. There, one can choose Normal
or Large and Larger.

Normal? Compared to WHAT?

<sigh>
