Where is the fonts folder?

I noticed that in word there are fonts installed that are NOT in the general
"Fonts" folder. Why is that, and where are the fonts for Word stored.

There is only one fonts folder. The fonts are in there, you may not be
looking at the right name.

Hi Martinson,

If you're referring to what Word is showing as the 'current' font for selected text, Word remembers the text called for by the
document author. If that font isn't present on another PC when the document is being viewed Windows will substitute another font
for viewing and printing.

In Word prior to 2007, with the document open you can use
Tools=>Options=>Compatibility[Font Substitution]
to see if that is what is occuring.

In Word 2007 it's

Office Button=>Word Options=>Advanced=>Show Document Content=>Font Substitution
