Where is the Favorites file on the hard drive?

I recently purchased a new PC and had Best Buy save My Documents,
Favorites and several other files to a CD.
When I copy Favorites from the CD to the Desktop or to My Documents
and then try to import the Favorites to IE it will not allow me to.

It would appear that I will have to copy the Favorites from the CD to
the favorites file in the IE folder, but I cannot determine which file
that is.

Can someone assist this dummy?

Typically the Favorites folder is located at the following path on your
hard drive:

c:\documents and settings\[your username]\Favorites

You can overwrite the existing folder with the one from your CD.
