Where is SP2 stored

XP Prof SP2

I am just curious as to where SP2 is stored on my HDD when it is downloaded
- just in case I have to install it again or on another machine.

The installed SP-2 can not be saved for reuse on this or any computer.

It is stored wherever YOU directed it to be stored. If you obtained it
through an automatic download, it can't be used for another machine anyway.
Your computer received exactly what was needed to upgrade YOUR machine.
Another computer will most likely need different components of the upgrade,
more or less as the case may be.
