where I can find documents about log-on process

hi all,
I need papers about on the log-on process in win2k and up, they can
be theoretical documents and practical (with examples), the point is
to
understand whats really going behind the stage (including the kerberos
actions),
i couldn't find documents that deal with that exact subject in
microsoft site, i found relative,
are someone has link to documents like that?
