Hi,

In Partition Magic there is the option to change the root size of a
partition. Where/when does this root size actually matter and can the
harddisk performance be improved by changing it?

Regards,
Peter

It only concerns FAT16 and lower where the root has a fixed size. Once all
entries are used up, no more files or folders can be added to the root.
Increasing the root size will not increase the performance of a harddisk.
