They don't go to the recycle bin and are deleted. However a file is not really
deleted until the space it occupies is overwritten, Deleting a file is like
removing it's name and putting up a sign saying "space available" can subdivide.
If the files are important and you act quickly you may be able to recover them
with a third party file recovery tool. --- Steve
