Where in XP do I turn on to show hidden files? Also when this is not on
and I do a search of my hard drive do I not see invisible files? So if
I have it on to show invisible files will my hard drive searches then

Double click on My Computer. Go to Tools/Folder Options and then the
View tab and configure it there.

Yes, search will then show hidden files.

Open your Control Panel, then open Folder Options.
Click on the View tab, scroll down to "Show hidden
files and folders", place a dot next to it and click Apply.
