I have no plan to be honest.. I have an mdb file programm on my laptop and
can not open it. I am getting the message that windows needs to know which
program created this file to open it.
Can anyone tell me what to do? PLEASE?
and yes, I am blond... but need help...
Thanks!

Sorry, but the only program that will open an MDB file is Access, and
there's no free viewer version: you need to purchase it.

If all you want is to get at the data in the file, you can use any ODBC or
OleDB compliant client, such as Excel.

I suspect that you don't have any version of Access installed on your
machine. You won't be able to do much with an MDB file unless you do.
If you do a Search/Find on MyComputer for MSACCESS.EXE and get one or
more hits then Access is present on your machine but the File
Association for MDB files hasn't been established - always done when
Access is installed. If the search for MSACCESS.EXE returned no hits
then you don't have Access.

How did you come by the MDB file and why do you need it?
