ACCESS 97 and 2000 installed; want 2000 to be default when I click an mdb file

Hello --

Can I set up 2000 to be the platform which opens when I click an mdb file?

I installed 97 after 2000 was installed so I could work with a database a
client needs modifying. All the
other mdb files are for ACCESS 2000.

I remember seeing a way to set 2000 to be the default platform, but can't
remember where.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks for any help.

Go into the folder where the Access 97 msaccess.exe is located, and look for
two files named msaccess.srg and wizard.srg. Rename them, then create two
empty files with the same name.

Access 97 won't be quite as aggressive about reregistering itself each time
you run it after that. However, I believe the default will still be that
when you click on an MDB file, Windows will try and open it with whichever
version of Access was opened last.

I have 97, 2K & 2003 installed on my computer. My system always defaults
to the last version that was opened. When I am finished working on one
version, I simply run another version and then it becomes the default.
