Where do downloaded newsgroup messages go?

Does anyone know if downloaded messages go to temporary
internet files, and are then erased through the tools
menu, or do they accumulate somewhere else?

Since you're using the web based reader, they're stored in the TIF, and just like any other file in the TIF, they should be eventually flushed out as newer content is added. Of course, you can always go to Control Panel, Internet Options and clear the TIF manually.
