where can I locate "lost" bold/font keys on toolbar?

All of a sudden the toolbar on my word template is different! I no longer
seem to have access to the bold/italic functions, nor the font size or type,
in addition to other traditional tools - what could have happened & more
importantly, how can I get the old toolbar back? Any help would be very much
appreciated!!!
