Where can I get help with Veritas BackupExec?

Does any one know of a NG or the like where I could get some help with
BackupExec 8.5 NT/w2k?

I replaced a HP DLT1i tape drive with a HP SDLTi unit and BackupExec is
unable to see it. It works with NTBackup.

Thanks.

I used to use BackupExec on several installations but gave it away after a
while as it had too many bugs and lacked som functionality. ntbackup.exe is
much harder to use but it works much better.

NTBackup does not have SQL server & Exchange server agents nor open file
agents, etc.

But be that as it may, I have BackupExec and have to get it working for now.
Are there any NG that any one knows of?

Thanks,

With NT Backup you can run a backup locally to local disk, then backup
the backup file over the network. Crude, but workable. With SQL server
I run a SQL server backup to local disk, then backup the backup.

I don't think that there are any Veritas newsgroups. There may be
online forums.

I would check the cabling, and ensure that the new tape drive is
terminated correctly. I'd ensure that the drivers are loaded
correctly, and I'd reboot with the machine with the tape drive
switched on.

Cheers,

Cliff
