Where can I get an O/o with a flat line for "Japanese" names?

Some Japanese plant cultivar names would be more correct with a flat line
over the O (as in 'Ogon') or over the last two o's in 'Shindeshojo'. I don't
see these choices in Word's set of symbols or in the download-able
international character toolbar.

Press Ctrl+F9 to insert a pair of field delimiters { } and inside them type

{ EQ \O(¯,o) }

To get the ¯, hold down the Alt key and type 0175 on the numeric keypad.

Press Alt+F9 to toggle off the display of field codes. If you need to use
this quite often, I would suggest making it an autocorrect entry.

O/o with macron can be found as characters 014C and 014D in the Latin
Extended-A character subset of many Unicode fonts.

I don't know how I missed that -- I must have been looking with the other
o's. Thanks so much.
