I would like to have the same preferences on 2 different computers with word
2007. Where are the preferences saved?

In more places than in previous versions, I believe. You can get an idea
from http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/FilesToBackup.htm and
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/DataKeySettings.htm of some of the
many files you need to back up in order to restore or transfer preferences.
I can't find a KB article more recent than Word 2000 for where settings are
stored in the Registry (see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=212242),
though this information may be available somewhere for Word 2007.

In addition to templates, the Registry, AutoCorrect files, etc., Word 2007
also has Building Block files that would need to be transferred.

HI Suzanne, thanks for the response.
I looked at the links that you sent. Either word 2007 is very different or
the articles were way over my head.
In Word Option, Advanced tab, near the bottom there is a button called File
Locations. I'm not sure this is the right one. I followed the paths suggested
there but they all appeared to be empty.
