I shall be glad to know where IE6 stores passwords. I back up the Favorites
and protected cookies regularly. I am a little confused here - I thought
that cookies also stored passwords.
Recently when one PC had to be restored using an earlier image, the updated
back-up Favorites and Cookies were successfully imported back but passwords
had to be re-entered for several site that had the password saved earlier -
using the "Remember me on this computer" option.
Incidentally, I am talking about passwords to sites like New York Times, Los
Angeles Times, Washington Times Insider, and the like (of which there are
many registered to free). Passwords for account sites - eBay, PayPal,
CitiBank, Netflix, are never stored.
Regards and thanks.
