Where are templates saved?

I downloaded a template for Microsoft Word and now cannot bring it up. Any
ideas on how to locate it?

If you remember the name of it, you could use Windows Explorer to search for
it.

If you can tell me where I put my car keys, I can tell you where you put
your template. It is wherever you put it down. Try downloading it again and
noting where it is saved. The proper place for templates is in the user
templates folder, that is where they are easiest to use. That location is
set under Tools > Options > File Locations. For more on the different kinds
of templates, tabs on the file new dialog, and locations of templates

Once the template is saved in the proper area you can create a button on your
toolbar to access your templates:

Select Tools | Customize
Activate the Commands tab (if necessary)
Select "All Commands" in the lists of Categories on the left hand side.
Select FileNewDialog in the list of Commands ont he right hand side.
Drag this to a convenient location on your toolbar.
Right-click the new toolbar button, and modify it as desired - you can
change its caption, style, etc.
Close the Cusotmize dialog when you're done.
