On one of my machines where I used OE briefly, the dbx
files ended up in \Documents and Settings\ ---user name---
\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\--- coded
identify number ----\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Where I put ---user name--- is the name of the user whose
files you're trying to move. I don't know the rules for
the coded identity number, but a little trial and error
should get you there.
Do not just "copy" the files to their normal location - OE will not see
them. Copy them to another folder an do an import within OE. You must have
saved your folders.dbx file for this to wotk.
After moving to a hard drive folder, check the file properties and remove
the Read Only attribute. Then in OE, File, Import, Messages, OE 6, point to
the hard drive folder.
Thanks, everyone, for assisting. I'll give it a try.
