It Shows that there are 16834 messages on this forum.

I just installed it asking to allow download 2500 messages. Mark as
read was NOT checked.

When I open this site, only 35 messages show... what happened to the
other 16000+ ?

Thanks

Dexter, that link gives me GOOGLE.

I want to see the 2500 messages I asked to download on this forum.

It gives you the information you need to know what to do about nntp
retention, you slow boat. Now, think!!

If you are using Outlook Express as your mail reader, it is set by default
to only download a certain number of headers at a time. You can change that
number or click on the Headers button repeatedly to download more (older)
headers.

Did you read the OP? He quite clearly stated he had set that to, "asking to
allow download 2500 messages".

If you hadn't hacked the OP, you might have seen that before you released
your trigger happy finger from you nose to send your obtuse response.

Using Mozilla not OE.

FYI, that link
"http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:20"
went to GOOGLE home page. (ready to type in a search name)

Have 4 other MS Newsgroups that loaded 2500 messages w/o any problem.

Thanks

FYI that link - [the link below] will have wrapped...

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:20
05-09,GGGL:en&q=nntp+servers

This bit 05-09,GGGL:en&q=nntp+servers will have been left off, if all you
did was click it... geddit?

That is why the 'part' link went to Google's home page, dummy. Think!
