Whenever I try to save a file to desktop in IE, it hangs.

This has happened somewhat recentl(within the last couple of months) and is
very irritating. No matter how small the file, or what kind it is, if I try
to save a file(using 'save' or 'save as' dialogue boxes) the dialogue box
will freez in mid-close and the whole IE window will hang for I'd guess at
least 2 minutes. If I let it wait, It eventually clears itself out, but I'd
like to have this problem solved. Anyone out there have any idea why this is
happening?

If this is Internet explorer it may be because your temp
folder is too large. go to Internet options and delete
your temp files and cache files. Hope this helps

Could be your recycle bin is full - try deleting some files/folders
from Recycle bin or emptying it completely.
