Try compressing the photos. How you get to the compression tool in PPT
depends on the version of PPT you have...

PowerPoint responsibly,

Thnx.. it didnt work tho.. any other suggestions?

I must disagree with Sandy -- Your computer still has to decompress the
images, and that takes time and resources as well.

I would use (for example) Photoshop to adjust two things: One is cut the
resolution until you've given up all the clarity you can withstand; the other
is to size your pictures (again, in Photoshop) so that on the slide they are
100% size.

But before you do anything, keep a set as backup in something like TIFF, NOT
JPEG. Every time you save a JPEG you cut its quality just a bit, and you
want to have a nice set of full-size, original-resolution pictures to have on
hand.

Hi Tami,

Any chance that you copied and pasted your images from say, a PDF file? In
that case, try this: Cut each image, then repaste (Edit > Paste Special) as
it as a png. Then use the compression tool.

Tim's suggestion is a good one. I try to provide suggestions that are
*PowerPoint capable* -- just in case you don't have photo-editing software.

There is some basic editing software in Windows, isn't there? (I use a Mac.)
