When saving excel files it causes the machine to reboot

When trying to save certain excel files, it causes the machine to reboot. The
machine has been reloaded but the same problems persists. Any suggestions
would be helpful

spontanious re-boots are symtoms of a huge power drain on
the pc and probably a power supply going out.
how old is the PC?
