when run GUI will not load

when I run IE6 sp1 the GUI will not load, the program shows
on the task bar but it appears as though minimized and it
will not restore. I'm running winxp and IE just stopped
working one day. The thing is as far as I know, I didn't
install anything that day or make any repairs via Norton
System Works
 
It might not be this easy, but try:
When you right-click the button on the taskbar, there are options for "size"
and "move" right? Experiment with Size first, using the arrow keys on the
keyboard. Then try the Move option with the arrow keys. Your window is
probably very small, maybe just a few pixels, and might even be off the
screen. Once you can see it, drag it out to the desired size and make it the
last IE window you close.
